Pikeville Medical Center's newly opened Outpatient Diagnostic Center brings cutting edge technology, comfort and convenience to our patients.

The outpatient diagnostic center will initially provide services such as Stand-Up MRI and a main laboratory station for routine testing. Future plans include providing digital chest X-ray and other advanced diagnostic services, including CT scanning, mammography and bone density.

A significant change patients will notice is the convenience of being able to park at and walk directly in to the outpatient diagnostic center for MRI scanning and laboratory testing.

“From the laboratory standpoint, patients will have extremely convenient access to the facility, eliminating the need to come to the main hospital for testing,” said Debbie Puckett, PMC’s chief operating officer. “With the high volume of patients utilizing PMC for lab tests, providing a seamless process – starting with parking and continuing until the patient walks out the door – was one of our main goals.”
