Pikeville will be filled with vibrant color as Pikeville Medical Center and the Lawson Cancer Center host the 10th Annual Colors of Courage 5K Run/Walk — a cherished community tradition honoring patients, families and supporters united in the fight against cancer.

Set for Saturday, Sept. 6 at 9 a.m., the race will begin and end on Main Street in front of the PMC Business Complex at 164 Main St., filling downtown Pikeville with runners, walkers and an outpouring of support for those affected by cancer. The event does more than bring people together. It raises critical funds for patients of the LCC, providing resources and support for those navigating cancer care in the region.

A pre-race event will take place Friday, Sept. 5 from 5 to 7 p.m., where participants can pick up race packets, enjoy snacks and shop for T-shirts and other event merchandise.

All participants are encouraged to wear the color that represents the type of cancer that has impacted their lives — whether honoring their own journey, supporting a loved one or remembering those lost.
