PMC is dedicated to caring for both mothers and babies throughout pregnancy, birth and recovery. Pregnancy and childbirth can feel overwhelming, which is why PMC’s obstetric team works to support mothers every step of the way.
PMC uses advanced technology to help women feel more comfortable during their stay in the Labor and Delivery Unit. Instead of being connected to wires during fetal monitoring, mothers can beneļ¬t from wireless devices that allow them to move freely. This helps mothers feel more in control of their comfort and mobility.
At PMC, comfort goes beyond the physical. That is why PMC’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and nursery are located on the same ļ¬oor as the Labor and Delivery Unit. The nursery is currently under renovation to continue providing the highest quality care to each child, but mothers can rest well knowing their baby is always nearby. To further support new moms, PMC offers an experienced lactation consultant who provides guidance, encouragement and answers common breastfeeding concerns.
To help celebrate the arrival of a new baby, PMC is proud to offer extra comfort for mothers, including free, chef-crafted dinners which are available to all new moms, whether it is their ļ¬rst baby or not. The new mother and one guest are each treated to a cooked-to-order meal that includes a main course, two sides and a dessert. These celebratory meals are served upon request before discharge, helping families feel truly appreciated as they prepare to bring their new baby home. Patients can simply speak with their nurse to request this complimentary dinner.
