Pikeville Medical Center (PMC) recognizes that pregnancy and childbirth can feel overwhelming for many women. To help celebrate the arrival of a new baby, PMC is proud to offer extra comfort for mothers, including free, chef-crafted dinners which are available to all new moms, whether it is their first baby or not.
The new mother and one guest are each treated to a cooked-to order meal that includes a main course, two sides and a dessert. These celebratory meals are served upon request before discharge, helping families feel truly appreciated as they prepare to bring their new baby home. Patients can simply speak with their nurse to request this complimentary dinner.
However, PMC offers more care beyond serving dinner. For women navigating the many stages of pregnancy, the Eastern Kentucky Advanced Women’s Care Center at PMC is here to guide them through this incredible journey.
Led by seven OB-GYN physicians, the Eastern Kentucky Advanced Women’s Care Center features the largest on-call, board-certified OB-GYN team in Eastern Kentucky. These experienced physicians are supported by a compassionate staff dedicated to women’s health at every stage, including wellness screenings, family planning, menopausal care, pregnancy and postpartum care, minimally invasive gynecologic surgeries and more.
PMC obstetricians, neonatologists and their dedicated support staff work collaboratively to monitor each pregnancy with precision, perform safe deliveries, and provide excellent newborn care so each baby can receive the support they need for a healthy start in life.
