Pikeville Medical Center offers patients, families and our staff chaplain coverage. A dedicated team of full and part time chaplains, staff and volunteers are available for any crisis or spiritual need that might arise. Our goal is to be available to all those who come through our doors. The Chapel, located on the second floor of the May Tower, is open 24 hours a day for prayer, reflection and meditation. It is a quiet and reverent atmosphere for people of all faiths.

You can contact or leave a message for the chaplain on duty 24 hours a day at extension 13123.

Services

Each day begins with a hospital wide overhead devotion and prayer around 9:00 a.m. and each day is closed with an appropriate evening devotion prior to 9:00 p.m.

Sunday Service is held at 7:30am each Sunday in the Chapel just off the May Tower Atrium.

Chaplain’s Corner worship services are aired on Workplace  for employees and on Channel 5 on hospital televisions throughout the day for patients.

Facilities

The Pikeville Medical Center Chapel is located on the second floor of the May Tower. The Chapel is a place for worship services, special Holy Day Services, song services, weddings, memorial services, prayer groups and more. A state-of-the-art lift allows us to perform baptisms directly from a bed, if approved by the attending physician. You will always find a quiet place for prayer and reflection with stained glass, controlled lighting, sound and a chaplain available to assist you.
