Throughout a person’s lifetime, chances are he or she will visit an orthopedic specialist at some point for treatment of a sprain, strain or perhaps a bone fracture.  Pikeville Medical Center (PMC) offers a team of ten highly trained, board certified orthopedic specialists when these injuries occur.

Anil Duggal, MD, and Devesh Sharma, MD, offer specialized services for patients with hand injuries, rheumatic diseases such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.

Matthew McCammon, DPM, and Mariano Rivera, DPM, focus on podiatry (foot and ankle surgery).  They also address underlying health issues like diabetes, provided they are related to foot and ankle issues.

Jamie Varney, MD, provides the region with expertise in sports medicine. Dr. Varney works closely with patients who have experienced sports injuries and offers comprehensive treatment.

Nicholas Kusnezov, MD,  and Kenneth Koval, MD, strive to provide the highest level of care to patients who have suffered a traumatic injury and are PMC’s orthopedic trauma surgeons.

The PMC Orthopedic Center utilizes state-of-the-art technology and advanced skills, which played a vital part in the PMC’s Orthopedic Center, earning the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal for Approval in total hip replacement, total knee replacement, and hip fracture.
