About Dr. Hall

Pikeville Medical Center (PMC) proudly announces the addition of Debra Hall, MD, to treat patients at PMC’s clinics in Prestonsburg and Harold.

Dr. Hall joins PMC with an extensive background in family practice. She received her Bachelor of Arts and Sciences and her medical degree at the University of Kentucky in Lexington. Dr. Hall completed her residency at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, South Carolina. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.

Dr. Hall began practicing medicine 23 years ago in Prestonsburg. She has been voted “Best of the Best” Floyd County Primary Care Physician for several years. She serves as a voluntary faculty member at the University of Pikeville’s Osteopathic School of Medicine.

“I always thought family medicine was a good fit for me,” said Dr. Hall. “I have always related to people comfortably, and to be a family medicine provider, I could make the most significant impact on people’s lives.”

Dr. Hall says she is looking forward to providing care in both Harold and Prestonsburg. “It excites me to be a part of the development of PMC’s Primary Care and Urgent Treatment Center in Prestonsburg,” said Dr. Hall.

She said she is looking forward to being a part of the growth and development to better patient’s lives in the area.

“My goals are to see the new clinic in Prestonsburg be a huge success,” said Dr. Hall. “Prestonsburg is my hometown, and I am very motivated to work hard and help the clinic prosper.”

She says she always wants patients to feel comfortable around her and feel like she is there to help them.

“I always hope to be an advocate for my patients no matter what their need may be,” said Dr. Hall.

Several factors drew Dr. Hall to PMC.

“I chose PMC for a few reasons,” she said. “I have been practicing medicine for 23 years and have always used PMC for specialty services for my patients.”

She said she has always been impressed with the quality care PMC provides patients.

“When the opportunity came along to work for PMC and help grow a new clinic in Prestonsburg, I could not pass up the chance to work for this impressive organization.”

PMC is convenient for patients and their families to receive quality healthcare says Dr. Hall.

“PMC is a growing organization that will continue to improve and provide care to patients in the area,” said Dr. Hall. “I want to be a part of the growing need to help our area.”

Dr. Hall is the daughter of Lloyd and Amanda Hall of Prestonsburg. She enjoys playing golf and taking care of her animals when she is not caring for patients.
